FIELD
Ryan is a student at the State University College at Oneonta, studying the music industry. He’s been a member of the SUNY Oneonta/Hartwick College chapter of Campus Ambassadors since March 2008. After deciding to follow Christ, Ryan became involved with the Leadership Team at the newly-established Bluefields Café in downtown Oneonta. He is also involved in the worship teams for Campus Ambassadors fellowship nights at the café as well as the Sunday night services at Main Street Baptist Church in Oneonta.

“There are a lot of people who need Jesus so badly here in Oneonta,” says Ryan, “I feel that God has called me to a great responsibility of living and spreading the Gospel to my peers on campus.”

FAITH
Ryan was raised attending a Catholic church until he was about 10 years old. At that point, his family diverged from the church but Ryan grew in curiosity about the Lord Jesus Christ. Around the age of 16, having been through tough relationship problems, Ryan turned to what he thought was a last resort, but was really just the beginning of a beautiful new life: reading the Gospel.

In March 2008, after attending a retreat with local Campus Ambassadors groups, Ryan realized that the LORD was calling him to something much bigger than he was. At that point he decided to make changes in his schedule and a new commitment to serving God. Since then Ryan, filled with Christ’s compassion, has responded to the call of several different leadership opportunities within the community and the church.

FAMILY
Ryan was born into a family of five who didn’t have a personal relationship with Christ. “We attended church on Sundays occasionally and on Christmas. We would also pray before Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, but I never felt a connection with Jesus,” says Ryan. Having fallen away from the church at a relatively early age, Ryan and his family never took religion seriously. Since being saved, Ryan has led his mother and brother to the Lord.
