The population of the Caribbean Basin is very multicultural, with populations of African, Spanish, French, Dutch, Portuguese, English, Asian, Chinese and Indian ancestry.

Missions Door currently has ministries in Spanish, Creole and English. Resident indigenous missionaries are serving in the Bahamas, the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Local church connections with Missions Door missionaries in these three countries also extend to churches in Cuba and Puerto Rico. As God gives opportunity for expansion, plans will be developed to open new ministry in other countries and regions of the Caribbean Basin.

The funds designated for the Caribbean Basin are used for pastoral subsidies in countries where churches will never be able to support their national pastors. Funding also provides literature and Bibles to train new believers, equipment and musical instruments to help new churches communicate the gospel in relevant ways, and transportation assistance for national leader training.

Joaquin Vargas, who serves as the Director of Latino and Caribbean Ministries, oversees and coordinates the distribution of this fund.
