FIELD
Jonathan ministers as a youth pastor to teenagers atThe Blessing Christian Center in Las Caobas, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He does his best to lead all teenagers to a real life of communion with the Lord Jesus Christ. He also helps the senior pastor in several other areas as needed.

There are many addictions afflicting teenagers and young people today. Jonathan and his friends visit the basketball courts, the streets and the parks, where they meet most of these teens, and talk with them about what God has done in their own lives.

In order to train for better ministry, Jonathan will be attending Rio Grande Bible Institute in Edinburg, Texas, to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Ministry.

FAITH
In 2006, when he was 25, Jonathan visited The Blessing Christian Center because he had agreed to attend a workshop to please his mother. At the workshop they talked about who God is and Jonathan decided to continue visiting the church.

God began to speak to his life, and one day he called his pastor and said, “I want to be a Christian. What should I do?” His pastor told him to repent from his evil ways and to recognize and confess that Jesus is his Lord.

Jonathan prayed a prayer of repentance and God quickly began to work on him, calling Jonathan to youth work and involving him in ministry. Today he feels a great passion for working with youth and teenagers, regardless of the context from which they may come.

FAMILY
Jonathan is the oldest of three brothers. His parents divorced when he was about 9 years old, so he was raised by his mother and brothers. His mother is in leadership at their church and his sister is part of the worship ministry.
