Missions Door has been ministering in Haiti since 1992.

On January 12, 2010 an earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale hit 10 miles west of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. After initial rescue and relief efforts, the present focus is on reconstruction and development. This includes:

MEDICAL
A medical clinic that provides medical care to people at affordable prices in the community of Santos in Port-au-Prince.

BUILDINGS
1. Improving the facilities of churches that were affected by the earthquake.

2. Partnering with the local government of Cabaret, north of Port-au-Prince, which has donated land to build a village that will have 30 houses, a school, a clinic and other facilities.

3. Building new churches and schools in some of the tent cities in Port-au-Prince.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
1. Building water purification plants that will provide safe drinking water at affordable prices. These plants will also provide jobs and income to the ministry.
