FIELD
The Huttons served as short-term missionaries with Radio HRVC in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, for one year after their wedding. They were appointed in 1968 to return to HRVC where Paul served first as radio engineer and later as station manager.
In 1977, after turning the station over to national leadership, the Huttons relocated to Honolulu—on loan from Missions Door to radio KAIM, an evangelistic outreach of the Christian Broadcasting Association.
In 1983 Paul accepted an additional call from International College and Graduate School in Honolulu to teach missions. He also directed the student internship program and later became vice president of the college.
In 1993, the focus of the Huttons' ministry changed. Returning to his roots, Paul became an International Ministry Director for Central America and the Caribbean. In addition to Honduras, Belize, Costa Rica and Guatemala in Central America new ministries were started in El Salvador, Nicaragua and Panama.
By the end of 2007, the goal of moving nationals into the field leadership positions was completed, and Central America was added to the Mission's larger Latino department.
