FIELD
Jorge was involved in reconstruction in Honduras after Hurricane Mitch with missionary Dr. Richard Waterson, a dentist with CAM International.  After working among the Lenca Indians during that time, Jorge was moved and began praying for them.

Dr. Waterson sent Jorge to Seminario Biblico in Siguatepeque, Honduras, on a scholarship where he received his bachelor’s degree in theology. While in seminary he met Erick Sanchez, a Missions Door missionary, who learned about his love for the Lenca people and asked him to help with the Lenca ministry for his practicum. He also served as the senior minister at Jesus El Buen Pastor Church for two years.

Missions Door appointed Jorge in 2008 to help plant churches among the Lenca Indians in the departments of Intibucá and Lempira. Jorge’s most recent church plant is in the town of Yamaranguila. His ministry includes leading teams in evangelism and church planting, and he also teaches in the Lenca Bible Institute.

FAITH
Jorge came to know the Lord at the age of 18, through the ministry of Dr. Waterson. He was invited to a discovery class, where they watched the Jesus film. That night he gave his life to Christ and was baptized.

FAMILY
Jorge grew up in a non-Christian home outside Siguatepeque in Central Honduras where he attended local schools. Jorge and Nolvia were married in March, 2009.
