Missions Door has Spanish-language ministry in 10 different countries, including the United States, Mexico, every country in Central America, and the Dominican Republic. In these ministries, we work with thousands of people who worship in over 400 churches that are part of a network of ministries.

In many of these Spanish-speaking countries there is a great need for trained leaders to engage in the ministry of starting new churches and optimizing the potential of existing ministries. We rejoice to know that about 8,000 people are coming to know Christ every day in Latin America, but this creates a dilemma for the Latin American Church—a lack of trained leaders.

In order to have the maximum impact for Jesus Christ and His Church in this region of the world, we need to equip key Latin American leaders to provide pastoral care and training of new believers and local churches.

The Latino Leadership Development Fund provides partial scholarships to students who are in local seminaries and universities, salary subsidies to teachers of our Extension Bible Institutes, books, computers, educational equipment, transportation assistance, and other needs that are vital to train more leaders to impact the Kingdom of God in Latin America.

Joaquin Vargas, who serves as the Director of Latino and Caribbean Ministries, oversees and coordinates the distribution of this fund.
