Dani Miles
FIELD
Dani grew up in a family that often returned to a simple and profound truth: “God gives you a ministry wherever you are at, whatever you are doing.”
This truth fosters curiosity for God’s fingerprints in the world and gives a new perspective on daily routines, whether as a student in public school or a professional headed down a career path.
Dani went to Willamette University, a secular liberal arts college, studying chemistry and mathematics. Yet that same principle remained central to her time in college. She invested in the local Christian community despite the rigorous demands of academia.
Seeing a need in the transitioning leadership of college ministry on her campus, she began to take more of a student leadership role. When she was invited to become a student intern her senior year, the desire to serve was already in her heart. Her passion for mentoring freshmen and small fellowship groups with younger college women outweighed her original plans.
After graduating from Willamette May 2011, Dani is now a full-time intern. She looks forward to focusing on college ministry knowing that God has already been preparing her for the students whom she continues to serve.
FAITH
Dani began her personal relationship with Jesus Christ at a young age one day after Sunday school, but she became intentional in her relationship with God during junior high. She spent much time serving in children’s ministries and youth group. Working several summers at a Christian camp solidified her personal faith and her desire to serve the Lord by sharing His love.
Surrounded by a strong foundation of sisters in Christ even from junior high challenged her to live out her faith throughout her transition into college. Since then her life has been an ongoing process of seeking God and growing into maturity through involvement and leadership in Campus Ambassadors college ministry and the local church.
FAMILY
Dani was born and raised in a Christian home in Portland, Oregon. She remains close to her parents, brother and sister in-law. Her extended family is large and diverse, reaching to New Zealand, Sweden, and South Africa. The various cultural exposures to Christians and non-believers has deepened her walk with God and roused her passion to serve Him.
EDUCATION
