FIELD
Jorge was ordained to ministry in 1975 and has served as Pastor to the Iglesia Bautista Conservadora (Conservative Baptist Church) in Olanchito, Honduras since 1990. From 1980 to 2005 he was Regional Pastor for Iglesia Bautista Conservadora in Arenal.
Missions Door appointed Jorge as the Regional Director of the Honduran Extension Bible Institute under the supervision of Pastor Humberto Del Arca in 2006 over the Olanchita area.
As Regional Director, he oversees and represents the Conservative Baptist churches of his region, and promotes the vision to plant new churches using the principles of church-planting-by-extension — recruiting, discipling and training church planters.
FAITH
Jorge grew up in a Catholic family in the community of Armenia, Department of Yoro. When he was young he work as a lay leader with the Catholic Church, then he accepted Christ as his Savior one December 31, 1976. As he tells it, “There was a service in my home. My parents were already believers, but they were not home that day. The service was held, and when the preacher asked, I came forward.” Alba grew up in a Christian home, but did not accept the Lord until 1981.
FAMILY
After he accepted Christ, he decided to get married and later started his ministry. Jorge and Alba have seven children: Jorge Juan, Lidian, Calvin Ramon, Yolanda, Eliezer, Alba Elisa, Esaú, and they are raising their grandchild Jorge Luis.
