Rick and Ruth Odess
FIELD
Rick leads North American churches on short-term trips to Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, as well as inner-city America. Collaborating with onsite Missionaries and national churches to understand their vision, Rick endeavors to help North American Christians serve their Majority World brothers and sisters, while they expand their own horizons and view of Christ and His people. Ruth serves alongside him as they serve God together.
God has led Rick and Ruth since 2002 to this place of missions, combining a prayer walk in North Africa with trips to Cambodia and Central America, as well as events in their personal lives, all with the intent of placing this burden on their hearts.
FAITH
Rick grew up in a modern Jewish home, attending synagogue only occasionally. In his teens, he was confronted with the claims of Christ, and evidences of pure love and acceptance. In accepting Christ, he became complete in Him. Jesus has been his constant source of comfort through life’s ups and downs.
Ruth grew up in a Christian home, and accepted the Lord between the rows of carrots and corn in the family garden. She, too, has relied on Jesus for strength and stability through life’s twists and turns.
FAMILY
Rick and Ruth live in New Hampshire, and are the parents of five grown children, as well as the grandparents of nine, so far. Their web site is wwwdotricknruthdotorg.
