FIELD
Ricardo was appointed by Missions Door in 2010. At the moment, he is working in starting a new Spanish-speaking church in Michigan and developing a Network of Latino Ministries called Punto de Conexión.

In 1986 Ricardo attended Logos Bible Institute in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico  and has worked with the Latino community since his arrival to the United States in 1990.

His ministry experience includes serving as a youth pastor, senior pastor and church planter. Plus he also works in leadership development. Ricardo was part of the church-planting team who founded a Latino church in Glendale, Arizona, and in 1998 the Lord led him to Cave Creek, Arizona, to plant the church he pastored until 2003.

In 2003 Ricardo became the Coordinator for Latino Ministries in the Southwest with Conservative Baptists of America where he served for six years.During that time he mentored Latino lay leaders and pastors who were eager to plant churches in the Southwestern United States. He also coordinated training, camping and outreach events.

FAITH
Ricardo was born in Mexicali Baja California and grew up in TecateBaja California in a Christian orphanage, and came to know Christ when he was 14 years old. During his time of training for ministry he went back to the orphanage and helped the children he had left behind. The Scripture that marks his life is Joshua 1:8-9. God’s word is a continuing reminder of His faithfulness and presence in his life. 

FAMILY
Ricardo and Kimberly have four children Joshua, Noah, Misty and Marissa.
