FIELD
Ildefonso and Lisbia minister in Agua Prieta and Naco, cities in Mexico that border the U.S., with the vision of planting new churches and discipling men and women through courses by extension from the Nogales Seminary. They also want to help with the physical needs of the people.
Agua Prieta and Naco are very religious and traditional towns; they are, however, in great need of a true understanding of a life in Christ.
FAITH
Ildefonso and Lisbia are originally from Sinaloa, Mexico. Both were raised in non-Christian families but met Christ in their youth.
Ildefonso and Lisbia felt the call to ministry and decided to register at Nogales Baptist Seminary in 1990. When they arrived at the seminary they had only been married for 24 days.
While still in seminary in 1991 they began pastoring a Baptist church in Nogales, Sonora Mexico. They graduated in 1993 and then traveled to Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico, where they planted a church called Filadelfia.
Since 1996 the Ramirezes have ministered at El Salvador Baptist Church in Agua Prieta, Sonora, and at Los Olivos Baptist Church in Naco. In 2003 they started a new congregation called Esperanza de Vida (Hope for Life).
FAMILY
Idlefonso and Lisbia were married in 1990, and have three children, Eliezer, Mara and Josias.
