Tim and Rachael Suddarth
FIELD
Tim spent six years in ministry at Truman State University as small group leader, worship director, programming director and assistant campus minister. While there, Tim helped lead the ministry though a transition from a small inward-focused ministry to a growing evangelistic ministry that had significant impact on the campus community.
In July of 2006 Tim and Rachael moved to Tucson, Arizona, to serve in a new church plant, Damascus Road, designed to impact the university community in Tucson. And a community it is. With more than 36,000 undergraduate students, the University of Arizona is the size of a small town and it’s a town in need. Fewer than 1200 students are involved in any kind of ministry.
Damascus Road reaches out to students, faculty, staff and others connected to the university community. With Rachael working on her Ph.D., they have a unique connection and opportunity to reach out to faculty and students at the university.
FAITH
Tim grew up in a Christian home and accepted Christ at an early age. After a period of rebellion, his faith became real to him in high school.
Later, while attending Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, Tim served as student staff at the Truman Baptist Student Union.
Tim was appointed to campus ministry by Missions Door in May 2002, as part of a ministry partnership between Missions Door and Truman Baptist Student Union.
FAMILY
While working at the Truman Baptist Student Union Tim met and married Rachael, a Speech Language Pathologist and Baptist Student Union coworker.
