Service Opportunities
There are many opportunities to serve with Missions Door. We are committed to serving churches and individual Christians by Connecting People with Opportunities. In addition to missionary service in a variety of settings, special opportunities exist in three general areas: Compassion and Relief Ministries We provide compassion and relief assistance when natural disasters hit locations where our missionaries serve. For example, after Hurricane Mitch hit Central America, Missions Door helped fund and build over 200 houses in Honduras. Short-Term Ministry There are growing opportunities for individuals or families interested in a short-term ministry experience. Terms of service vary from a couple of weeks to two years. Whether you are looking for an international ministry assignment or an internship with a mission ministry in the United States, we can help you find a ministry setting where God can use you and stretch your faith. Teams Increasingly local churches want to send teams to experience missions outside of their own cultural context. Our Partnership Ministries exist to connect churches with sister churches in mission settings, whether in international settings, urban America or a Native American reservation. The experience of developing relationships and learning from believers from different cultural contexts is the primary goal. This takes place through construction and work projects, children’s and community ministry, fellowship in the homes of believers from the host church and joint worship services.
