Arturo and Lourdes Aguirre

Mexico

Service Area: International

Ministry Focus

As a youth Arturo experienced a missionary venture that his church took to Sierra de Sonora and Chihuahua, Mexico. That firsthand look helped him see that the Lord was calling him to preach His Word.

At the age of 15 Arturo registered at the Sonora Baptist Seminary, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in theology, and was ordained while pastoring the Baptist Church in La Paz, Baja California Sur.

He has preached and planted churches in the states of Sonora, Nayarit and Baja California Sur. Currently they are planting the church Centro Biblico Familiar El Sembrador in Hermosillo, Sonora and there are evangelistic programs in two colonies in the northern part of the city.

With the Speiro Project, by the year 2020 they will have planted four churches in the state of Sonora and four houses for social, moral and spiritual help for the helpless. His principle is: “When the Gospel is planted, a church is harvested.”

Faith Story

Arturo was born in Guaymas, Mexico. He began attending church regularly in 1983, and in that same year accepted Christ. He was baptized on April 22, 1984.

Lourdes was born into a non-Christian home, but went to church with her family. She accepted Christ at a youth gathering and was baptized in 1984.

Lourdes and Arturo met while students at seminary, where they were partners on missionary trips to the Sonora mountains. They were married in 1992 and have four children: Ana Abigail, Angélica Adami, Abdiel Arturo and Areli Andrea.
