Aguirre Family Relief Fund

Ministry Focus

We are saddened to report to you that Missions Door missionary, Arturo Aguirre, passed from this life to the next on Friday, December 14, 2018. Pastor Arturo had been hospitalized in Hermosillo, Mexico, because of severe pneumonia which was complicated by an infection related to dengue fever. Arturo was only 49 years old at the time of his promotion to heaven. Arturo was originally appointed by the Mission on August 24, 2005. He and his family were involved in church-planting ministry in Hermosillo, Mexico, for the past 13 years. We rejoice in knowing that Arturo was a special servant of the Lord and that his ministry impact will continue through the many people he influenced for Christ and His Kingdom. We also grieve with the family and the church family for their unexpected loss of a husband, father and pastor.

We have established a special relief fund to provide transitional income for Arturo’s family for the six months that follow his home-going. This support is not tied to any required ministry that she must do but rather, is a benevolent provision to help her and her family survive over the next six months.

We have asked Arturo’s partners in ministry to consider continuing their support through June of 2019, to help Lourdes and her three unmarried children (two in college and one in high school) that are immediately impacted by Arturo’s passing and loss of financial support. If you would like to support the Aguirre family, any donations to this page or gifts designated for the Aguirre Family Relief Fund will go directly to them. Thank you for praying for Arturo’s family and for the church as they work through the challenges of life and ministry without him.
