Stephen was appointed in June 2017 serving as an intern with Campus Ambassadors at University of Buffalo. He has been involved in ministry since his high school days and currently leads the worship team for Campus Ambassador’s weekly meeting, as well as leading a small group. He also plans to lead a men’s Bible study on campus.
Stephen’s heart wants to see students come to know the true love, power and grace of Jesus through sharing his own relationship with Jesus.
When Stephen was just three years old, he felt a strong conviction to accept Christ and he continued to grow in his faith and knowledge of Christ as he grew up.
But when Stephen’s uncle passed away suddenly, with whom he was very close, he began to feel doubt, fear, and anger towards God. Later while attending a Christian camp, Stephen was reminded that God forgives our sin but Stephen still felt anger in his heart.
Then when he began attending UB, Stephen became a part Campus Ambassadors and experienced how loving and accepting everyone was. This new faith family began to remind him of God’s love for him. At the end of the year, Stephen finally reconnected with the Lord at an Infusion retreat. He prayed and asked Jesus to make his heart new and immediately felt his anger release as he received the power of God’s love and forgiveness.
Now, Stephen feels completely transformed by His grace and can’t help but share what God has done in his life. He feels called to serve with campus ministry and prays that others will also experience God’s transforming grace and love.
Stephen grew up in a Christian household where he learned the importance of serving. Stephen is grateful to his family for their support in his life and their constant example of Christ.
