Ethan joined the Missions Door team in 2018 to pioneer the organization’s video department. His mission is to highlight the progress and growth of Missions Door, their missionaries and the people those missionaries serve.
Early on in his life Ethan had a passion for ministry, but hasn’t always worked in ministry environments. His ministry background includes being on staff as the Broadcast Media Director at two churches, the first in Honolulu, HI and the second in Oklahoma City, OK. While on staff in Oklahoma City, he had the opportunity to film a documentary at a partnered church located in Ulyanovsk, Russia. Ethan says, “In this generation, video is a powerful storytelling tool.”
Ethan was born in Tulsa, OK and raised in a Christian family where he learned about God’s love and forgiveness. At an early age, he chose to accept Jesus. While attending Oral Roberts University, he decided to rededicate his life and renew his journey of faith. That journey has taught him that God is good, God’s ways are sometimes beyond understanding and we all have a void that can only be satisfied by God.
Ethan has been working as a news videographer for the past three years. He sensed God was preparing him for ministry. When he married his wife Victoria, who was already a missionary at Missions Door, it became apparent that God was calling him into global missions to use his talent to bless others.
Ethan and Victoria were married on June 7th, 2017, in Guatemala. Victoria is also a missionary with Missions Door. They live in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
