Ministry Focus

It is with both excitement and a keen sense of loss that we tell you that Mike Fleischmann will be leaving Missions Door to become the Head Pastor of Bethany Bible Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Please read Mike’s farewell to the Missions Door family here, and a letter from our President, Rick Miller, regarding this transition here.

Mike joined Missions Door in 2016 as a part of the Executive Leadership Team. As the Vice President of Personnel, Mike provides resourcing and coaching to the Ministry Directors and leads efforts to provide for the development and care of the Missions Door ministry family. Mike also works to communicate the vision of the Mission to churches, pastors, and prospective partners across the country.

Faith Story

Mike was born in Pendleton, Oregon and raised in a strong Christian home where he came to learn at an early age of God’s amazing love and grace toward him. He responded by putting his personal faith in Jesus Christ.

Although Mike graduated with a degree in Management, and initially began a career in that field, he began to quickly sense, together with Kimberly, that God was preparing them for a life dedicated to ministry. This led them to a twenty-five year journey of pastoral ministry in local churches with an emphasis on ethnic diversity, community outreach, global missions, and congregational growth.

Throughout his decades in church leadership, Mike has been a strongly supportive ministry partner with the Mission including serving on the Board of Directors.

With a deep, personal love for Missions Door, Mike eagerly accepted the invitation to join its Executive Leadership Team. He has a passion to help propel the core values and distinctive vision of this vibrant movement forward to the next generation.

Family

Mike and Kimberly have been married since 1988 and have two young adult children, Tucker and Taylor.

In addition to her own career in the financial service industry, Kimberly has been an active ministry leader in the local church, prison and compassion outreaches, and international missions.
