Lauren Meza

Service Area: Campus Ambassadors

Ministry Focus

Ever since Lauren got saved, she has become more and more passionate about serving the church in any capacity she can. She has a growing passion for worship leading and disciplining others.

Lauren lived the majority of her life uncertain of how to pursue a deeper relationship with God and what the Gospel truly meant for her. It wasn’t until 2017 when Lauren was given a mentor who completely changed her life. Her mentor set such an example of what it looked like to love and serve the Lord from a genuine heart that understood the gospel. Since then, Lauren has wanted to be to other young women exactly who her mentor was to her.

After transferring to SUNY Oneonta for college, Lauren was able to dive right in to Campus Ambassador’s ministry and begin serving. She has already been able to see the Lord move in the lives of students while continually strengthening her personal relationship with Him.

Lauren is honored to be on staff as an intern and looks forward to the incredible things that the Lord will do in upcoming semesters!

Faith Story

Lauren grew up in New Jersey but relocated with her family to the Adirondack Park in New York State when she was 12 years old. She was raised in a Christian home that had its own kind of dysfunction. She was always told about God’s love for her but as life situations increased the phrase, “Jesus loves you,” became very cliché and emotionless.

At 15 years old the Lord called Lauren out of all her hurt and brokenness and began the painfully freeing refining process, which jump started her faith. Since this moment Lauren has intentionally surrounded herself with other Christians who would walk out this journey with her and encourage her along the way.

Over the past 5 years, Lauren has intentionally pursued God, allowed him to challenge her, grow her, and cultivate the gifts He has blessed her with. He has used her in ways she never would have thought and continues to seek His kingdom and glorify Him in all that she does.

Lauren lives in the small city of Oneonta during the school year and in Utica, New York with her parents during the summer. She has 3 older brothers who love her dearly and an amazing group of friends who may as well be family!
