Ministry Focus

Adolfo helped plant a church in 1998 in Coyoacan, in the south part of Mexico City, called Sinai Baptist Church. He and his family joined Mount Hermon Baptist Church and Adolfo was named youth leader in 2003. This experience ignited his passion for youth ministry.

In 2006 Adolfo and his family, along with several other believers, began a Bible study in his mother’s house with the goal of planting Remnant Christian Church, also in the south part of the city.

In 2010 Adolfo was invited to Messiah Baptist Church in Tlalnepantla to be their youth pastor. This was the experience that confirmed his calling to youth ministry. It opened his eyes to the urgency for people to minister to youth and adolescents and the need for material for that kind of ministry in Latin America.

It is Adolfo’s passion to communicate the need for team ministry to reach youth to the leaders of the contemporary church. Currently he is working as the associate pastor and youth pastor at Work of God Baptist Church in Azcapotzalco.

Faith Story

Adolfo accepted Christ as his Savior when he was 15 years old when a friend in junior high shared the Gospel with him. A year later he began to attend Horeb Baptist Church, where he made the decision to be baptized and was discipled by the pastor.

He began a music ministry at the church with other youth called “Key 7.” They played hits of Christian artists and their own songs that spoke of their experiences with Christ. In 2001 they recorded an album under the name “Filia,” with evangelistic songs written by the band members.

Adolfo was called to pastoral ministry at the age of 18, but it wasn’t until 2008 that he began his formal theological preparation at the Mexican Baptist Theological Seminary.

Family

Adolfo is from Mexico City. On April 10, 2010 he married Kristy Kolb Ocampo, who had been a missionary in Mexico City for more than 10 years. They have two children: David Joel and Lia Grace.
