Kate was appointed by Missions Door in July 2017, serving with Campus Ambassadors at the University of Denver. She has been involved with Campus Ambassadors since her freshman year and has since developed a heart for inviting others to find their purpose and value in Christ.
Kate has come to realize her unique gifts of compassion and empathy towards others. She is passionate about bringing God’s healing love and reconciliation to college students. She believes Christian community is a powerful way to help young people find answers to their questions of who they are and who they want to become. Kate’s vision is to help Campus Ambassadors continue to grow as a faith community that overflows with love for people.
Growing up, Kate knew little about the character of God or who Jesus was. When she was in middle school, her best friend invited her to youth group and she began to learn about the Christian faith. She learned about God’s love for her despite her flaws and that He died to redeem her. Struck by this message, Kate gave her life to Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior.
Kate had few resources to grow her faith until she went to college and joined Campus Ambassadors. She began to grow spiritually, was soon baptized, and became a worship leader for Campus Ambassadors. Today, Kate desires to continue following God’s plan for her life both now and on into the future.
Kate lives with her family in Colorado and has two younger brothers. She knows God is using her to demonstrate the love of the Gospel to her family.
