Halie served on staff as an intern with Campus Ambassadors for two years during her undergrad at Fitchburg State. After taking some time away from ministry to explore her career field, she decided she couldn’t stay away for long and rejoined CA as a ministry affiliate.
Campus Ambassadors has been a huge influence in Halie’s personal faith journey. She has seen the impact it has had in her own life and in the lives of others. Halie will be using her Media Communications degree to help reach students through social media. Running both Fitchburg State and Worcester State’s social media accounts, aiming for them to be a resource and light to students in this highly digital age.
Halie was raised in a Christian home; attending church and going to Christian schools for most of her life. She accepted Christ and was baptized at a young age. It was in high school that she began to really pursue a personal relationship with God, as she became more and more involved in her youth group. Upon starting college she allowed her relationship with God to take a back seat to many different things in her life. It wasn’t until she got involved with Campus Ambassadors her Junior year that through the support and guidance she received there, God began to call her back to Him. Since that time Halie has been actively pursuing a relationship with God that goes beyond checking things off a “to do” list and embraces the richness of living a life in step with God.
Halie grew up in Lewiston, Maine and currently resides in Massachusetts. She has one younger sister who lives in Ohio and her parents recently relocated from Maine to South Carolina. Although she has no family nearby she is surrounded by great Christian friends who have become her second family, much in part due to CA.
