Ministry Focus
Lisa was appointed with Missions Door in March 2010 and currently serves in Prescott, AZ as Community Outreach Missionary. She serves with the local outreach ministries of the church, especially 5&2 Soup Kitchen, on the missions team and partners with two local Christian Organizations. She works with Community Pregnancy Center (CPC) as a Client Advocate and Village of Hope (VOH) as a support/mentor with women and their babies. Her deep desire is to walk with women as they seek a relationship with Jesus, to choose life and flourish (Micah 6:8, John 10:10, Eph 3:20, Jer. 29:11)!
She currently serves with Agape House of Prescott as their Discipleship Director. Agape House serves families in crisis by "keeping families together through hope, love and housing." Her passion is to build deep relationship with families, sharing the transformational love of Christ, and equipping them for an independent and self-sustained future in the context of Christian community. Her prayer is families know they have a hope and future (Jer. 29:11) and experience life in the fullness of Christ (Jn. 10:10).
Faith Story
Lisa grew up in a Christian home and put her trust in Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at age 8. While in high school on a mission trip in Los Angeles, God broke her heart for women and their children facing homelessness and called her into full time ministry. She has lived and served in Chicago, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Prescott.
While studying at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL she had many opportunities to live, serve, and learn through a variety of urban ministries. After graduation from Moody in 2000 she lived in Los Angles, CA for almost 7years serving with Central City Community Outreach loving on youth and families facing homelessness through a Christ centered youth development program in Skid Row (the largest homeless population in the United States).
Lisa loves to travel and serve locally and internationally. She has led ministry teams around the world including Kenya, Brazil, Bosnia, and Mexico. She has also traveled to countless other locations to learn, grow and experience the beauty of God's creation through different cultures. The Body of Christ is so beautiful around the world!
Family
Lisa was married to Brent DeSaye October 5, 2024. They have three grown children, 2 grandkids and 10 nieces and nephews. Brent is the Executive Director of Community Pregnancy Center. They love to do ministry together and travel the world!
