Ministry Focus
Meagan (Meg) Bennett served with Missions Door from 2014 to 2018 and 2026 to the present day. Her ministry work takes place at the University at Buffalo through Campus Ambassadors - the collegiate arm of Missions Door. The University at Buffalo has over 30,000 students from over 100 different countries. Meg's vision is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost so that they might bring the good news back to their corners of the globe, as well as to disciple the next generation of Christian leaders. Ultimately, she desires that students would know and experience what it looks like to have a real relationship with their Creator. In terms of strategy, Meg enjoys conducting surveys in the Student Union to find students in whom God is already at work, contacting students to set up gospel appointments, sharing the gospel one-on-one, discipling girls, and keeping her prayer team updated.
Faith Story
Meg grew up in the church but came to college with misconceptions about God. As a freshman at UB, she abandoned her roots and embraced a secular lifestyle. After a rock-bottom moment that involved too much alcohol, Meg was pursued by God through Tim Stewart, a campus minister with Campus Ambassadors. Through Bible studies, meetings, and retreats, Meg's understanding of God's love grew and she recommitted her life to Christ. Eventually she decided that she wanted to partner with the same agency that ministered to her, so that other college students might also encounter Jesus on campus.
Andrew (AJ) did not grow up in a Christian home. In middle school, he attended youth group at a local church. He was invited to Snow Camp at Circle C, where he responded to an altar call. However, it was later at home in a private moment with God that he truly decided to accept Jesus as his Savior. Later on, he encountered Campus Ambassadors while dating Meg, and has since enjoyed volunteering in his free time alongside her.
Family
Meg and AJ have three children- Maxwell (Max), Rosemary (Rosie), and Callahan (Cal). As a family, they enjoy skateboarding, hiking and swimming. They have two dogs- a Chiweenie (Gwen) and a Border Collie (Sherlock).
Education
Meg has a B.A. in Psychology from the University at Buffalo. AJ has an A.A. in Social Science from Erie County Community College.

In colorful communities and along scenic highways, diverse people and landscapes span coast to coast
Iconic American traditions include Thanksgiving dinner, jazz music and the Super Bowl. They meld with eclectic examples of multicultural heritage: numerous local Chinatowns, family-owned taquerias and even cowboy boots, which originated among the nomadic Huns of eastern Europe.
The nation's landscape shows just as many contrasts — sandy beaches and rocky coastlines, open plains and vast deserts, rugged mountains and winding canyons, and abundant rivers and lakes.
The ideals of life and liberty that founded the United States have made the country one of the world's most prosperous, though not without dark chapters and present troubles. Crime, discrimination and ethics violations make regular headlines, and many people live below the national poverty level.
Families view education as essential to the pursuit of happiness, if not also a path to wealth and power for the most ambitious. Yet Americans also demonstrate a charitable spirit of generosity toward neighbors and nations in need.
Freedom of religion grants opportunity for all faiths, but Christianity holds particular influence in country's history and daily life.
Your participation with Missions Door supports ministry in the United States among college students, including many international students, in collaboration local churches. It also enables social outreach, church planting and leadership development in a wide variety of communities — among Native Americans and other cultural groups, and in urban and suburban settings where growing and changing demographics create new opportunities for the Gospel.
Cultural Snapshot
Aside from the Native American, Native Hawaiian and Native Alaskan populations, nearly all Americans and their ancestors immigrated to the United States.
Faith Fact
In a 2013 survey, 56% of Americans said that religion played a "very important role in their lives” — a larger number than any other wealthy nation.
