Ministry Focus
After enrolling at Chemeketa in 2024, Katelyn served with Campus Ambassadors on the Servant Leadership Team for 2 years before becoming appointed as an intern in the spring of 2026. Over the first few years of serving with Campus Ambassadors, Katelyn's relationship with the Lord deepened as she made friends who held her accountable to staying in Gods word and going to church. She also learned how to lead discipleship groups and grew in her ability to connect with students who have never been to church before. Katelyn's time spent with Campus Ambassadors has shown her how much young adults want a community that loves them, but more then that how much they desperately need Jesus Christ. Over the next year she hopes to help create a Christ-centered community, where non-believers are able to see the light of Christ and where believers can grow in their relationship with the Lord.
Faith Story
Katelyn was raised in a Christian home, and though she always believed in God she constantly questioned his plan for her life. After a life changing move in 9th grade, Katelyn questioned God's will for her life and the reasons he had for moving her away from everything she new. Further down the road, she saw Gods faithfulness and how much better his plan was then the one she had imagined for herself. Katelyn got baptized that fall, and after later graduating high school planned to go to Corban University. God had other plans, and though she admits to not being excited, Katelyn ended up at Chemeketa Community College, where she found Campus Ambassadors. After a few different career changes, the Lord opened her eyes to the desperate need young adults have for Jesus Christ. She found herself wanting to serve on campus more and more and creating amazing relationships in the process. Even though life holds a lot of unknowns, Katelyn hopes to encourage students as they walk through new stages of life, placing Christ at the center of it all knowing he is in control, and his plan is always better than our own.

Katelyn graduated with associates degree from Chemeketa Community College in Salem in the spring of 2026.

Freedom of religion grants opportunity for all faiths, but Christianity holds particular influence in country's history and daily life.
