Ministry Focus
Daughter of God by grace since 2015. Called to the Lord’s full-time service in the area of evangelism.
Isabel is a teacher at the private school belonging to the Getsemaní Baptist Church in Nogales, Sonora. The school’s purpose is to instruct children with academic excellence and biblical principles from preschool through high school, placing special emphasis on evangelism for the salvation of the children and their parents, for the glory of God through her obedience and faithful service to God.
Faith Story
Isabel’s mother took her to church as a child, and it was there that she first heard and understood the message of the gospel, which she continued to hear regularly for the next ten years. However, it was not until February 2015, when her mother suffered from acute appendicitis, that she felt a deep sense of despair as she considered the responsibilities she would have to assume as a daughter and older sister if her mother were to pass away, with God being her only hope. Yet, when she turned to Him for help, she encountered an even more urgent situation: her need for repentance for her sins before God. It was then that the Lord called her to salvation, and in His infinite grace, He also completely restored her mother’s health, which was the main purpose of her illness. In April of that same year, she was baptized in the city of Chilpancingo de los Bravo, Guerrero, Mexico, as an act of obedience.
Her teenage years were crucial for her spiritual growth and for identifying her calling to serve the Lord, as she understood that having been saved, there was nothing else to do but serve the Lord and enjoy the blessings that come from obedience. Therefore, after finishing high school in 2021, she entered the Nogales Baptist Seminary (Sebano) with the intention of preparing herself to serve the Lord more completely and faithfully according to biblical principles. She later joined the Missions Door team for a more effective ministry.
Education
Isabel greatly enjoys nature and animals in general. She has practiced several sports and occasionally participates in them. She enjoys taking part in and learning activities that require creative skills, such as knitting, decorating, sewing, and painting. She has a special interest in languages; her native language is Spanish, and she has learned English, though she would like to learn another language as well.
She has participated in organizing children’s and youth summer Bible camps for SEBANO and the Getsemaní Baptist Church, as well as Vacation Bible School at the Sol de Justicia Mission in Nogales, Sonora.
She completed a diploma in Biblical Counseling at SEBANO, as well as a Master’s in Christian Education at the same seminary. She has also been actively involved in missions, evangelism, and discipleship activities with women within the church.

From ancient civilizations to modern cities, colorful traditions advance a vibrant culture
Colorful and joyful fiestas provide a staple of life in Mexico to celebrate everything from patron saints to national holidays to guitar music. Today's traditions blend Spanish influence since the 1500s with the heritage of ancient civilizations that flourished in Mexico for thousands of years prior.
Sunny beaches and turquoise waters of Baja California and Cancún bring thousands of tourists each year. And amid a combination of historic and modern architecture, Mexico City's 20 million residents make it one of the most populated urban centers in the world.
At the heart of every Mexican city lies the zócalo, or central public square, that invites community interaction. In contrast, plastered walls often surround affluent homes to provide protection and symbolize the importance of family in Mexican society.
The country has one of the world’s largest economies, driven significantly by manufacturing, and is the world’s largest producer of silver. But high rates of unemployment and crime make it hard for many households to earn enough income.
Your participation with Missions Door helps to meet strategic and spiritual needs of communities in Mexico through medical teams, leadership training, economic development, church planting and youth ministry.
