Ministry Focus
José serves in the city of Caborca, Sonora, Mexico, where he and his wife are planting a church. They already hold regular worship services together that include preaching, teaching, congregational singing, and other ministries. Together with their three daughters, they also have the privilege of serving the Lord as missionaries sent out by Gethsemane Baptist Church, where they also serve in leadership. Their goal is to faithfully preach God's Word via expository preaching while trusting in the work of the Holy Spirit to convict people of sin.
Faith Story
José came to know the Lord in 2004 while serving his prison sentence in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. It was there that he first came into contact with the Nogales Baptist Seminary (SEBANO), where he began his doctrinal and theological training. After completing his prison sentence, he enrolled at the seminary and became a member of Dios Con Nosotros Baptist Church.
Family
José met his wife, Verónica Yesenia Terrazas Gaxiola, in 2011, at Dios Con Nosotros Baptist Church. They were married in 2012. Together with their three daughters, they are a family that has always enjoyed serving the Lord together, as well as playing volleyball and going to the movies. They also have a very furry and playful dog named Kliffort.
Education
José completed his secondary education through ISEA in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. At the seminary, he earned his Bachelor's degree in Theology, and recently completed his Masters of Divinity degree at SEBANO with an emphasis in expository preaching.
