Justin was appointed with Missions Door in April 2017 to serve with Campus Ambassadors at Linn-Benton Community College. Justin’s focus is to establish Christian community on campus by discipling and equipping students to take part in building God’s kingdom at Linn-Benton.
Justin regularly leads Bible study with students, leads worship sessions, and helps facilitate large group events on campus. One of his primary goals is to help the Linn-Benton group reach non-believing students, through both one-on-one interaction and group events.
Being raised in a Christian home, Justin committed his life to Christ at about eight years old. Growing up, Justin had severe struggles socially and made very few friends. He loved the Lord and immersed himself in understanding the foundations of his faith, but he often felt he lacked people investing in his life.
By the time he started his freshman year at Chemeketa Community College, he had grown disillusioned with the church and felt that other Christians didn’t care about him. He began to question his faith, and at one point he even thought about becoming an atheist.
But one fateful day, God led him to approach the Campus Ambassadors table. He met the Chemeketa Campus Ambassadors director and got connected to the group. Through his involvement, he had the opportunity to be part of a group of Christians who truly cared about him, and after a long process of restoring his faith in Christ, he had the opportunity to reach out to other students and share God’s love.
After graduating college, Justin felt God calling him to serve in campus ministry full-time to help students experience the Gospel and transformation through Jesus.
