“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:37b-38 ESV
Jesus says more workers are needed to bring in the harvest God has prepared. Missions Door launched the Strategic Advance Fund to address this issue.
We are convinced the best workers for the harvest are from the countries and communities they are working to reach. Indigenous missionaries are more effective in ministry and cost less to deploy than cross-cultural missionaries. Funding is the primary barrier in multiplying indigenous missionaries. The Strategic Advance Fund helps multiply ministry in majority world countries by jump starting new missionaries financially. This will lift the incredible missionaries we appoint outside of the US and Canada out of poverty with $200 a month of support. Initial financial support will give them time to discover ministry partners as they expand the kingdom in their country.
This fund also provides short term support for new missionaries in the US and Canada during the partnership development phase so they can focus 100% on this critical task. If ministry partners are developed and funding stabilizes our missionaries can serve in ministry long term. Without some initial help, many are forced to leave ministry all together to provide for their families.
Investing in the Strategic Advance Fund will result in more missionaries who serve for longer and have greater kingdom impact.
